I admit I have a soft spot for the XJS, especially the early-90′s ones that had a cleaner c-pillar design. And the shooting brake works well on this car. But there is no way I would ever buy an actual Jaguar from this period, unless it had a fill engine/transmission swap for a small block V8 or something similar. There are just too many horror stories of how unreliable these cars were. It’s a shame because I think that the design is so perfectly retro it deserves to be preserved.

I’m going to guess that there were a lot of factors in becoming homeless; parents separating, six other mouths to feed (and I’m guessing not a lot of room in the house), having to stay close enough to school and work to make sure he got the most out of both… it’s pretty rare that people choose homelessness if there are better options. And your comment just sounds like “let them eat cake!”

It’s a sad reality that there are actually a lot of homeless college students. Or I guess you could look at it the other way ’round and say it’s great that there are at least some homeless people who manage to go to college. Anyway, the Jalopniky point to be made here is that there are a lot better cars to be homeless out of than a Ford Focus.
